What is Low Code?

If you've been following the tech industry for a while, you may have heard of "low-code." But what is it?

Low-code applications are built using drag-and-drop modelers that provide a the developer with a creativity-stimulating visual environment. Imagine it being the difference between staring at a blank document vs being handed an already populated outline. Similarly, low-code provides the skeleton for ease of use and code reusability. Along with this assistive environment, tools such as smart services, components, and pre-built connectors, significantly increase the speed and intuitive nature of development. These components also reduce the necessity for writing code from scratch, which mitigates endless, time consuming repetition and allows applications to be built and deployed quickly, efficiently, and with less errors.

Because low-code doesn’t rely on a technical coding environment but instead operates in a model-driven, drag-and-drop interface, developers of all skill levels can build valuable applications quickly and efficiently.
